Professor Carlson Quoted in National Law Journal about Supreme Court Nominee's Record Reflecting His Consideration for the Environment

March 29, 2016 -- Professor Ann Carlson was quoted in a National Law Journal article about Merrick Garland, President Obama’s Supreme Court nominee, and his record reflecting his support of the Environmental Protection Agency and his likelihood to back the Clean Air Act.

“The overwhelming pattern is one of agency deference, that’s what really comes through,” said Professor Carlson. “As long as the agency is trying to exercise its expert judgment and do its best, he’s going to defer.”
