Professor Taimie Bryant Quoted in Daily Bruin on UCLA Program to Control Stray Cat Population

March 15, 2016 – Professor Taimie Bryant was quoted in a Daily Bruin article about a program that employs humane methods to control a stray cat population on campus, an initiative that Professor Bryant helped to found.

Established in 1989, the program has since reduced the number of stray cats on campus from 350 in the 1980s to about 10 today by using a trap-neuter-return method.

 “It brought people together to humanely deal with an issue plaguing the university,” Bryant said.
