Professor Bali Comments in L.A. Times on Muslims’ Feelings about Koran’s Influence on Government Law

April 29, 2016 – Professor Asli Bali commented in a Los Angeles Times article which discussed how sharply divided the Muslim world is over how much influence the Koran should have on government law. 

Professor Bali said the desire of people to have their government’s laws strictly adhere to the teachings of the Koran probably speaks to a level of discontent. “It’s a measure of the dissatisfaction people have with the moral rectitude of their government and the moral tenor of their laws,” Professor Bali said.
