May 5, 2016 – Professor Eugene Volokh was quoted in the ABA Journal as well as the Wall Street Journal about proposed revisions to the current ethics rule in the American Bar Association Model Rules of Professional Conduct. The proposal includes modifying the rule to prevent attorneys from discriminating in practice-related matters.
Prohibitions against discrimination “need to be implemented carefully and not overdone,” Professor Volokh said. “It’s not one of those things where the more anti-discrimination, the better.”
