Professor Emeritus Blasi Talks to About Proposed Storage Facility for Homeless in Venice, CA

June 13, 2016— Professor Emeritus Gary Blasi spoke to Southern California Public Radio for an article describing Venice Stakeholders Association’s resistance to a proposed storage facility for homeless people to store their belongings. City officials have been pushing for the storage facility -- as many as 2,500 of Los Angeles’s homeless live near the Venice boardwalk.

  “They [residents] want the gloss of an edgier neighborhood without the realities,” said Professor Blasi.
