Professor Sander Quoted by L.A. Times on Affirmative Action and U.C.’s Push to Recruit Minority Students

June 24, 2016—Professor Richard Sander was quoted by the L.A. Times on University of California’s push to make progress toward greater racial and ethnic diversity on its campuses. Since the passage of Proposition 209 in 1996 outlawed Affirmative Action in the state of California, the University of California has explored other ways to meet their diversity goal, including focusing more recruiting efforts to areas with a larger percentage of Latino and African American students. 

"Prop. 209  was arguably the best thing that ever happened to the experience of racial minorities at the University of California," argued Professor Sander.
