Professor Volokh Quoted in Philly.com About New N.Y. City's Transgender Policies

June 6, 2016—Professor Eugene Volokh was quoted in an opinion article on Philly.com about a new legal guidance by the New York City's Commission on Human Rights stating that employers can be fined up to $250,000 for refusing to call an employee by the pronoun of their choice.

Professor Volokh asserted that this would require "employers and businesses to prevent [the use of 'wrong' pronouns] by coworkers and patrons and not just by themselves or their own employees."
