Emmett Institute’s Sean Hecht Cited by Orange County Register on CA Environmental Quality Act & Home Prices in CA

September 7, 2016—Professor Sean Hecht, co-executive director of the Emmett Institute on Climate Change and the Environment, was cited by the Orange County Register on the California Environmental Quality Act and how it may—or may not—be contributing to the high price of homes in California.

 “I think CEQA also has played an important role in preserving the environment,” said Professor Hecht. “Obviously, without it it would be easier to build in California. But is it worth it considering all the benefits of CEQA?”
