Professor Banner Cited on Colorado’s Procedure on Refunds to Freed Defendants in Multiple News Outlets

January 10, 2017—Professor Stuart Banner was cited in multiple news outlets—including the Associated Press, Washington Post, and New York Times—on how the Supreme Court is raising serious doubts about Colorado's practice of not refunding court fees and other costs to people who are convicted of crimes but later exonerated.  Professor Banner argued on behalf of the defendants in Nelson v. Colorado, which was heard by the High Court earlier this week.
