Professor Volokh Comments in Multiple News Outlets on SCOTUS Case on Expressive Speech in Trademarks and Patents

Professor Eugene Volokh was quoted in multiple media outlets—including the Washington Post (article by George Will) and Outside the Beltway—on how the U.S. Supreme Court will soon hear oral arguments for the case, Lee v. Tam. The high profile case could determine the government’s ability to bar “offensive” speech when it comes to granting benefits, such as copyrights and trademarks. UCLA School of Law’s Supreme Court Clinic students and faculty contributed a brief for this case last year.
