An article written by Professor Eugene Volokh was cited by a New Mexico Appellate Court involving the defamation and invasion of privacy case, David C. Young v. Todd J. Wilham and Journal Publishing Company. The court cited Professor Volokh’s article, “Freedom of Speech and Information Privacy: The Troubling Implications of a Right to Stop People from Speaking about You,” 52 STAN. L. REV. 1049 (2000), in finding that the plaintiff’s argument was without merit.
