Professor Emeritus Gary Blasi Speaks with The Daily Bruin on LA County's Plan to Reduce Homelessness

Professor Emeritus Gary Blasi was interviewed by The Daily Bruin in regard to L.A. County’s budget proposal and how it plans to allocate a .25 percent sales tax to fund homeless services. Blasi said that, “Programs assume people have resources and will have enough to pay rent when the assistance ends, typically after a few months. They provide some help, but their effectiveness is limited by the extreme shortage of housing for the very poor, whose number continues to grow.”
