Professor Eugene Volokh was cited in a Washington Post article written by conservative thinker and columnist George Will, who argued that counter to Progressives’ indignation over the issue, cultures actually thrive through creative appropriation, or the borrowing of traditions and artistic styles to render new expressions.  The article was republished by the Winston-Salem Journal.
