Dissent Magazine Relays Victor Narro’s Efforts to Decriminalize L.A.’s Economy of Street Vending

Lecturer in Law Victor Narro was quoted by Dissent Magazine regarding his efforts to decriminalize the informal economy of street vending in Los Angeles. Thousands of people make their living by selling goods on city streets; however, they face harassment from police and are categorized as criminals. Narro disagrees with such harassment, and supports decriminalizing these individuals and their businesses with the help of the UCLA Labor Center. “They’re just people trying to make a living,” Narro says.
