Williams Institute Study on Transgender Military Service Cited by Esquire

A Williams Institute study on transgender military service in the U.S. was cited by Esquire, as well as multiple other news outlets, in an article about President Trump’s announcement to ban transgender women and men from military service.  The study found that an estimated 150,000 transgender individuals have served in the U.S. armed forces, including approximately 8,900 who are currently on active duty in the armed forces and 6,700 in the National Guard or Army Reserve.
