Jennifer Mnookin Quoted in The Recorder on California Bar Exam Cut Score Reform

The Recorder reported that Dean Jennifer Mnookin urged the Committee of Bar Examiners at a hearing on Monday to reduce the state’s unusually high ‘cut’ score for passing the bar exam because current policy hurts California law students, law schools and the diversity of the profession without benefit. “There is absolutely no evidence that California’s unusually high cut score actually produces better lawyers than states like New York, Pennsylvania and Illinois,” said Mnookin.
