L.A. Daily Journal Cites Dean Jennifer Mnookin on Lowering Bar Exam Cut Score

The Los Angeles Daily Journal cited Dean Jennifer Mnookin, one of several law school officials who urged the State Bar to lower the minimum passing score on the California bar exam. Mnookin said the state should have a cut score closer to the mid-130s.

“There is absolutely no evidence that California’s unusually high cut score actually produces better lawyers than in states like New York, Pennsylvania, and Illinois,” Mnookin argued.
