Ann Carlson Testifies at UC Regents Meeting on UC System’s Plan to Achieve Carbon Neutrality

Professor Ann Carlson, faculty co-director of the Emmett Institute on Climate Change and the Environment, testified at a UC Board of Regents meeting held recently at UC San Diego about a task force report soon to be released on how the UC system can achieve carbon neutrality by 2025.  Professor Carlson serves as chair of the UC system-wide committee which is examining ways to enact energy efficiency and will make recommendations on how UC’s ten campuses can reach carbon neutrality in less than a decade.  The report is expected to be released mid-October.  

Also presenting alongside Professor Carlson were Rachael Nava, UC’s Chief Operating Officer and David Phillips, UC Associate Vice President for Energy and Sustainability.
