Katherine Stone Speaks to The World and Everything In It on Firing of Employees for Political Protesting

Katherine Stone, Arjay and Frances Fearing Miller Distinguished Professor of Law, was featured in a podcast on The World and Everything In It in a discussion of how employers can fire employees who engage in political protests. Even though the protests don’t necessarily occur on company property or during work hours, employees still face punishment. “They’re very worried about PR, and the recognition that they might get on social media,” said Stone in regard to why employers take this action.
