Sean Hecht Quoted in Wired on San Francisco Lawsuit Against Fossil Fuel Companies

Professor Sean Hecht, co-executive director of the Emmett Institute on Climate Change and the Environment, was quoted in Wired in a discussion of a lawsuit that San Francisco has filed against major fossil fuel companies. The lawsuit aims to hold these companies accountable for the seawall construction and sewer system redesigns necessary to protect the city from climate change.

“There’s certainly a sense that climate change is broader in scope than what nuisance law has ever addressed before,” commented Hecht.
