The Economist Talks to Katherine Stone about Mandatory Arbitration

Professor Katherine Stone spoke to The Economist about mandatory arbitration, where an increasing number of employees are finding that hidden in fine print in their employment contract is an obligation to resolve future disputes through private arbitration, rather than in court.  By signing such an agreement, employees agree to not sue their employer.  “It is a fantasy of consent, rather than the real thing,” said Stone.
