Eugene Volokh Speaks with L.A. Times on Delta Airline’s Dilemma on Parkland School Shooting

Professor Eugene Volokh spoke with the Los Angeles Times on Delta Airline’s decision to cut its discounted fares for NRA members.  The move angered Georgia’s Republican lieutenant governor, who threatened to kill any tax legislation that could benefit the air carrier. “They may be playing political hardball, but that's not a 1st Amendment violation,” stated Volokh, who disagreed with another legal expert who had suggested that the state’s threat to penalize Delta for its political stance would be problematic under the First Amendment.
