The Landlord-Tenant clinic advocates for low-income tenants facing possible eviction, habitability problems, rent increases and other issues. Clinic volunteers assist staff attorneys at the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles in Santa Monica. Along with intake interviews, volunteers assist clients with paperwork, and collaborate with attorneys in counseling and resolving client problems through the best course of action. The clinic meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in Santa Monica. Volunteers are asked to participate at least 2-3 times per semester.
