This course complements Constitutional Law I. It is devoted mainly to the study of the First Amendment's guarantees of the freedoms of speech, press, and assembly. The course also considers the First Amendment's prohibition of laws respecting an establishment of religion and its guarantee of the free exercise of religion. As in Constitutional Law I, a continuing theme is the proper role of the judiciary in the American system of government.Please review faculty specific descriptions for additional details regarding each offering.
