This course provides an overview of the legal, business, technological and financial aspects of the entertainment industry, specifically in the fields of motion picture, television, and digital content production and distribution. It will focus on the practical application of various areas of the law including intellectual property, corporate, tax, employment, bankruptcy, international and others to achieve business/creative objectives. Through exploring the elements of traditional media models and the changes arising from new technologies, students will have a foundation to apply informed, analytical and creative thinking to practical problems.There are no prerequisites for this course.
