Part-Time Externship: Corporate/Transactional Practice

The Part-time Transactional/Corporate Externship Seminar is intended to be experiential and serves as the companion course for law students enrolled in part-time externships in entertainment and general corporate in-house settings (in-house law departments representing the corporation as their only client).  Students will gain an understanding of corporate transactional practice, from both the general corporate and entertainment perspectives, and they will have an opportunity to discuss issues that arise in these practice settings.  Students will be exposed to the varied issues that confront in-house counsel on a daily basis and learn skills needed to resolve the issues in a timely and practical manner.  Students will reflect on their externships and incorporate the skills they are learning into the classroom discussions.
