Remedies


Law & Economics

This course surveys the law of remedies—the law governing what a court can do for a claimant who has been wronged. It will cover the principal remedies as well as history that is relevant to understanding contemporary practice, such as the distinction between legal and equitable remedies. Throughout we will attend to the underlying justifications of available remedies and how they relate to the substantive rights that they protect.
