Renny Hwang is a Lecturer in Law at UCLA School of Law and teaches Litigation and Fact Discovery. He is Deputy General Counsel for OpenAI, leading litigation, regulatory, discovery, intellectual property and legal program management teams. He was previously Senior Director of Legal and Head of Litigation for Google, and practiced IP litigation in Los Angeles at a global law firm. He also has experience in product management and software development, leading product and engineering teams in building Internet software technologies. 

Renny received his J.D. from Harvard Law School, and a B.S. in Computer Science and M.S. in Engineering Management from Stanford University.
