Mission: The International & Human Rights Law Association's (IHRLA) purpose is to provide a student-led forum for developing knowledge, sharing experiences, and promoting career opportunities within the field of international human rights law at the UCLA School of Law. IHRLA endeavors to work closely with other related on-campus organizations including the International Justice Project (IJP), the Journal of International Law and Foreign Affairs (JILFA), Critical Race Studies (CRS) and the David J. Epstein Program in Public Interest Law and Policy (PILP), to provide meaningful collaboration and further opportunities for project-based research and career assistance to students.

IHRLA contributed to the successful campaign to institute an International and Comparative Law Specialization at UCLA School of Law, which was established during the Fall 2014 Semester.

Currently, IHLRA is working towards deepening the alumni-student network for students interested in international law. IHRLA will be working on a project to promote an alumni mentoring program tailored to this goal for students in the international law community.

In addition to new projects, IHRLA will continue to provide students with an online database that is updated throughout the year reflecting exciting career opportunities so that students may have a resource to navigate potential job placements more easily.

IHRLA is one of a few international law organizations that is available to law students of all years to actively and substantially participate in projects and developments.
