From exploration of traditional topics such as copyright, patent and trademark to the impact of new technologies on law and society, UCLA Law offers a robust curriculum.

Located in the global center of the entertainment industry and with a history of scholarly leadership going back to the legendary Melville Nimmer, UCLA Law offers dynamic courses and clinics in intellectual property. The Institute for Technology, Law & Policy, a collaboration with the UCLA Samueli School of Engineering, explores the impact of artificial intelligence and algorithms on law, policy and society. The Program on Understanding Law, Science & Evidence (PULSE @ UCLA Law) delves into the application of evidentiary standards to rapid advances in science. The Ziffren Institute for Media, Entertainment, Technology and Sports Law is the nation's leading institute focused on entertainment and media practice. Since 1996, students at the school have published the Journal of Law & Technology.
